Synopsis[]
Shadow leaves for personal matters but when he comes back earlier than expected, he seems off.... is that really Shadow the Hedgehog?
Plot[]
When Shadow has to leave for personal matters, Silver and Monkey decide to throw a party. Police arrive due to noise complaints from multiple neighbors. After the police officer left, the duo continue to party. Shadow then returns unexpectedly and they quickly stop partying. Shadow then tells them to meet him upstairs. When Shadow tries to explain why, Silver apologizes. When he realizes Shadow doesn't know what he's talking about, he pretends he was acting. Shadow reveals that he brought them there to thank them for being loyal and offering them cookies. Silver and Monkey are confused by this and question his odd behavior. Shadow claims he just wants to thank the two. When Monkey accepts the cookie, Shadow refers to him by his actual name rather than 'Maria', which immediately stuns him. They both again question him due to acting weird. The two talk in private about the situation. While Monkey believes Shadow is just being generous, Silver believes something different is happening. Shadow confronts them as he's feeling lonely. Silver leaves with his belief of something being wrong, but Monkey stays and hangs with Shadow and they watch a movie.
After getting tired of watching said movie, Shadow suggests they jump in the ball pit. Monkey questions this, as Shadow doesn't normally want to jump in the ball pit, but they go anyway. As they play in the ball pit, Silver is shocked and confused as to why Shadow is in the ball pit. When Silver accuses him of being a skin-walker, his voice changes and then Silver and Monkey flee the hedgehog. As Silver tells Monkey they're dealing with a skin-walker, Monkey is still in disbelief and thinks Shadow is just having a good day. Shadow walks in behind them, still having an oddly-sounding voice. Silver questions him once again, and Shadow says he was feeling lonely again. Silver's scared and Monkey is still in disbelief. Monkey tries to get Shadow to refer to him as 'Maria', but he continuously calls him Monkey. Monkey then finally believes Shadow is a skin-walker and Silver and Monkey run away as he begins to chase after them. They confront him and ask why he's doing this and he places the blame on Silver for saving the future. With the skin-walker asking for last words, Monkey wants to have a sugar rush by drinking Pepsi. Silver and Monkey then devise a plan to plant a sleeping pill in the Pepsi. The skin-walker then reveals his true form, revealing his name to be 'Mephiles'. After the introduction, Monkey then wants him to have a sugar rush, tricking him into drinking up the sleeping pill and he falls asleep. They then tie him up as the officer then returns. They inform him that they caught Mephiles and he takes him to prison. As the duo celebrate with Pepsi, the real Shadow returns as he recently stole a Chaos Emerald. To confirm his identity, Monkey asks him what his name is, and Shadow refers to him as 'Maria', confirming this was Shadow.
